Bishop Martinus Dogma Situmorang

Bishop Martinus Dogma Situmorang was born in Palipi, Samosir, North Sumatra province, on March 28, 1946. Born as Tondo Tunggul Tahan Dogma Yohanes Situmorang, he joined the Capuchin congregation on Dec. 27, 1966, and got the religious name Martinus. He took his first vows on Jan. 13, 1967, and his perpetual vows on July 29, 1972. He was ordained a Capuchin priest on Jan. 5, 1974. He was appointed Bishop of Padang by the Holy See on April 14, 1983, and episcopally ordained on June 11, 1983, by Capuchin Bishop Anicetus Bongsu Sinaga.
