Bishop Dinualdo D. Gutierrez, DD, BSE, MA, STD, was born on Feb. 20, 1939 in Romblon. He was ordained a priest on April 7, 1962, at Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Roxas City. Pope John Paul II appointed him Coadjutor Bishop of Marbel on Nov. 19, 1980. He was ordained bishop on Jan. 28, 1981,. He succeeded as Bishop of Marbel by succession on Oct. 1, 1981.

Currently, the bishop serves as the vice chairman of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines' (CBCP) Episcopal Commission on Indigenous Peoples, vice chairman of Episcopal Commission on Social Action, Justice and Peace (ECSA-JP) and member of Episcopal Commission on Social Communications and Mass Media.
