Bishop Peter Ki-heon Lee

Bishop Peter Lee Ki-heon was born on Dec. 31, 1947 in Pyongyang, North Korea. He was ordained a priest on Dec. 8, 1975 and appointed Bishop of Military Ordinariate in Korea on Oct. 29, 1999. His Episcopal ordination was on Dec. 14, 1999. He was transferred to Uijeongbu diocese on Feb. 26, 2010. He was Apostolic Administrator of Military Ordinariate in Korea from April 17 to July 16, 2010. His installation as Bishop of Uijeongbu was on May 4, 2010. Bishop Peter Lee is chairman of the Episcopal Commission for Mission and Pastoral Care of the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Korea (CBCK). Also he is president of the Committee for Youth Ministry and Committee for Culture and is member of the Special Episcopal Commission for the Reconciliation of the Korean People and the Special Episcopal Commission to Promote Beatification and Canonization of the CBCK.
