Bishop Wilfredo D. Manlapaz

Bishop Wilfredo D. Manlapaz, DD, STD was born on April 7, 1941 in Paracale, Camarines Norte. He was ordained a priest on Dec. 6, 1964, and was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Maasin by Pope John Paul II on Dec. 2, 1980. His episcopal ordination was on Feb. 7, 1981. The pope appointed him Bishop of Tagum on Jan. 31, 1986. His installation was on March 20, 1986.

Since 1987, he serves as Chairman/Convenor of the Ceasefire Committee (NUC).

Bishop Manlapaz speaks Italian, English, Bikol, Visayan, Cebuano and Tagalog.
