Bishop Aloysius Maryadi Sutrisnaatmaka

Bishop Aloysius Maryadi Sutrisnaatmaka was born in Wesi, Klaten, Central Java province, on May 18, 1953. He was ordained a priest of the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Holy Family on Jan. 6, 1981. He holds a doctorate in Missiology from Gregoriana University in Rome. He was appointed bishop on Jan. 23, 2001 and episcopally ordained on May 7, 2001. He now serves as a member of the presidium of the Bishops' Conference of Indonesia (KWI, Indonesian acronym), head of KWI's Commission for Mission, a member of KWI's Commission for Theology, and a consulter of the Vatican Congregation of Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments.
