Bishop Augustine Jun'ichi Nomura was born on Nov. 20, 1937, in Kochi, Kochi Prefecture. He was ordained a priest on Dec. 19, 1964, and was appointed Bishop of Nagoya on April 5, 1993. His episcopal ordination was on July 4, 1993.
