Bishop John the Apostle Eijiro Suwa was born on July 8, 1947, in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture. He was ordained a priest on November 23, 1976, and was appointed Bishop of Takamatsu on March 25, 2011. His episcopal ordination was on June 19, 2011.
