Several Catholic communities in mainland China organised formation initiatives for young people, migrant workers, students and young couples during the Chinese New Year holidays.

The youth of the Diocese of Nan Chong in Si Chuan province reflected on the theme of vocation on January 25, when the Church commemorated conversion of St. Paul. Priests who gave talks encouraged them to respond generously to the vocation call.

Newly-married couples of the parish of Da Bei in Tai Yuann diocese shared marriage experience during an initiative to promote the value of life and Christian marriage.

More than 500 faithful of the Diocese of Zhou Zhi in Shaani Xi province participated in biblical formation sessions from January 23 to 25. Participants included migrant workers and college students who returned home for the New Year and farmers.

Priests and religious helped them with Bible study. They also took part in the celebration of the sacraments of Reconciliation and the Holy Eucharist.
